This month has flown by, at the beginning of the month I started my blog, and since I feel like so much has happened! Before we get into it, I’d like to thank anyone that has supported my blog, it means a lot to me. I’m almost at 100 WordPress followers and no way did I think that would happen within one month.
Anyway, let’s get into it. This is my first ‘favourites’ post and it’s a series I plan on continuing. I will share my beauty and fashion related products that I’ve been loving throughout the month and share a quick thought on each.
H&M’s Tailored Trousers in Beige (£12.99 at http://www2.hm.com/en_gb/)
I’m not usually one for wearing patterned trousers, but when I saw these in H&M I picked them up straight away. They’re great to style with a relaxed black top or dress up with a more formal blouse, meaning they’re great to wear for work too!
River Island’s Floral Waist Tie Trousers
I picked these up in my local River Island’s summer sale, they were the last pair on the rack so I was lucky to find them being my size. They’re super comfortable and I’ve worn them a lot when we’ve had warmer weather. They’re great to style with a crop top or cami and a pair of trainers for an everyday look.
Lush’s Fantasy Eyeliner (£14.50 at https://uk.lush.com/)
If you’ve read my Top 5 Glitter Products you’ll know how I feel about this eyeliner. One of my favourite things about this product is that once you’ve put it on, it will stay put and not budge until you take it off at the end of the day. It’s bright, bold and beautiful, and creates many stunning looks.
NYX’s Round Lipstick in Minimlism (£4.00 at http://www.boots.com/)
I’ve only recently started to frequently wear lipsticks, my collection is very small and this is the one I reach for most. The colour comes off as a deep-pink and looks stunning with every look. It’s not too bright or too dark, for me it’s just the right in between.
NYX’s Lush Lashes Mascara in Stacked (£7.00 at http://www.boots.com/)
I can’t wear fake lashes, due to me wearing glasses, I haven’t found a pair of lashes I get on with. However I still like to fake luscious lashes as best as I can, so I’m always on the hunt for a good mascara. I think I’ve found my holy grail – this mascara volumizes and lengthens my lashes without making them look clumpy. There are two different bristle lengths on the wand, making it also very easy to apply the mascara to my bottom lashes. I’m comletley in love with this and will continue to repurchase.
Urban Decay’s Afterglow Highlighter Palette (£27.00 at http://www.debenhams.com/)
I’m a sucker for a blinding highlighter and when I swatched this in my local Debenhams, I had to take it home. The palette consists of 4 shades: Bliss (a very light gold), Peroxide (a bright pink), NSFW (a light copper/bronze) & Side Piece (a deeper gold). I didn’t think I’d get on with Peroxide, but after the first application, it is now my most used shade, closely followed by Bliss.
Kat Von D’s Sinner (£52.00 for 50ml from http://www.debenhams.com/)
When the Saint and Sinner fragrances first came out, I didn’t have any interest in purchasing them, but when they were relaunched I got very excited and promised to treat myself. I was stood in Debenhams for ages deciding between the two, they were both such beautiful scents. My favourite thing about the perfumes is the attention to detail on the bottle, Kat’s signature wax stamp on the bottle lid is such a stunning touch.
I hope you’ve enjoyed my first ‘favourites’ post, are there any products you’ve been loving this August?
