Milani 2 in 1 Foundation and Concealer Review

I think I’ve done it! I think I’ve found a foundation I love! If you’ve read my NYX Total Control Foundation Review, you’ll know I’m fussy when it comes to foundations, but after picking up the Milani 2-in-1 Foundation and Concealer, I can honestly say I no longer need to search for “the one”.

I’d heard mixed reviews about this foundation, but for its affordable price, I thought why not give it a go? I picked the foundation up from Beauty Bay for £13.00. After a recent expansion, there are 19 shades to choose from. I took a guess at my shade and chose 00A Porcelain.

30ml of product is contained in a glass bottle with a pump action lid. The Milani brand is certified by PETA and The Leaping Bunny Program as cruelty free.

Formula

The foundation is very thick, but this didn’t affect it’s blendability or the appearance once applied to the skin. The weight of the product is a little heavy when first applied, however this isn’t noticeable when I’ve completed my base routine.

When applied to my face, the foundation didn’t appear to oxidise and dried to a matte finish. 00A Porcelain was also the correct shade for my skin tone and matches me perfectly.

Coverage

I have never been happier with the appearance of my base. I’m a huge fan of a full coverage, and this foundation certainly delivers. I find that it takes 1.5 – 2 pumps to achieve a coverage I’m happy with. Once applied, the foundation covers almost all of my imperfections, I have a few red scars around my chin that can be very prominent, and I find that I still need to add a little concealer over those for some extra coverage.

Once dried down, the foundation appears flawless. It looks so smooth and not at all patchy.

Wear

I always set my foundation with powder to help it last throughout the day, as I can be on my feet and out the house for around 12 hours.

I was so impressed with how long the foundation lasted, there are really no complains till around 6-7 hours. At this point, the foundation starts to fade around my chin, but I can’t complain, as I’ve usually eaten 2 meals by this time.

At the end of the day, it doesn’t look like I’ve worn the product for 12 or so hours. On the bottle, it states the foundation is longwearing, and I can’t fault that statement it at all.

Overall, I’m really happy with this Milani foundation. I will continue to re-purchase this until I come across another foundation that matches its standard. I’d highly recommend this foundation for those who love a full coverage and need that long lasting wear.
