Mini Essence Haul & Review

I’d heard so many good things about the brand Essence Cosmetics from Azra, I knew I really wanted to try their products. I’ve never seen their products in stores in the UK before, but I unexpectedly came across a small stand in my local Wilkos, so I thought I’d pick up a few of their products.

I was so impressed with the prices of the products, and also there’s plenty of products to choose from. I picked up four items and paid no more than £15.

Clear Brow & Lash Gel (£2.00)

This is the first brow gel I’ve used, so I have no alternatives to compare it to. However, I personally love it! I love the texture of the gel, it’s not heavy and not at all sticky and holds my brow hairs in place for around 4-5 hours. I’ve not yet tested this on my lashes as I’ve been wearing the next product a lot.

Lash Princess Volume Mascara (£3.30)

I’m not at all disappointed by this mascara, the product is a tiny bit clumpier than my beloved NYX Stacked mascara, and if you’re clumsy like me, it’s easier to end up with it on your eye lid.

Apart from that, I love this! It adds a significant length to my bottom lashes, and makes my top lashes look stunning. I really recommend this for anyone seeking an affordable mascara.

Get Picture Ready Contour Palette (£3.00)

I was a little nervous to use this at first, as the colours seemed very dark for my skin tone and there weren’t any shade variations available. With the shades being too dark for my skin tone, it appears a little muddy on my face. I won’t be repurchasing this.

Contour Brush (£3.00)

I often find that cheaper brushes are stiff and not very soft on the skin, however this wasn’t the case. The brush doesn’t have a defined shape to it, so I wasn’t sure how to work with it, but nevertheless I tried it anyway. I was actually very impressed, the brush works well for bronzing and using the brush on its side works great for contouring. For £3, it’s a bargain.

Overall, I’m really impressed with Essence products. I’ll definitely be taking another trip to Wilkos to pick up some more things. I personally loved the brow gel and mascara, I’d recommend them to anyone!

Have you ever tried Essence products? Tell me your favourite so I can go pick it up!

I love that gel, I usually use it for taming my baby hairs and it works amazingly. I also use it on brows and it keeps my brows in place for almost all day. I think you can use that brush for buffing foundation, it looks like it can work for that. xx
